Who Is Martin Mull? is now on Netflix, and we’re proud to be part of it. Our own Zach Kashkett edited the film with Jason Zeldes, ACE, and Ron Hass, with Union handling post-production services.

Directed by the late Bob Saget and Neil Berkeley, the documentary follows Mull through a life spent making people laugh, making music and painting. Mull tells much of the story himself, joined by friends including Steve Martin, Tom Waits and David Alan Grier. There’s also a chance to revisit the performances that made him such good company on screen.

As TV and City’s Elazar Abrahams puts it: “The old clips are the real joy here. They are hilarious, and the documentary gives them enough room to breathe.”

Brian Tallerico at RogerEbert.com calls it “a tender, personal examination of a career.” John Anderson at The Wall Street Journal describes it as a “somber but affectionate documentary,” and Bill Brioux calls it “the best documentary I’ve seen this year.”
