Chris Walker Joins Union Editorial

Bicoastal Union Editorial welcomes editor Chris Walker to its New York roster

Walker arrives from London’s Marshall Street Editors (MSE), where he rose from runner to editor and partner over nearly a decade — a journey that began in 2016 and brought him to the cutting room on award-winning comedy-led campaigns, short-form narrative, and VFX-heavy brand work. The move deepens an already longstanding creative alliance between Union and MSE, with Walker now bringing his sharp, character-driven sensibility to Union’s bicoastal team.

His reel speaks for itself: standout credits include Netflix x Just Eat’s The Next Game Is Served (dir. Josh Cohen), Papaya Global’s Small Balls, Big Game (dir. Rob Leggatt), and 7UP’s Mixology (dir. Josh Cohen), alongside Fiverr’s Stuntman (dir. Nick Kelly) and a growing slate of U.S. brand work since making New York home. Walker was also named one of Televisual Magazine’s Top 10 Editors in London (Spring 2024) — the youngest on the list — and took home Best Comedy Short Film at the London Short Film Festival for his dark-comedy film Unprecedented Crimes.

“I’ve had the privilege of watching Chris evolve at every stage of his career, and his reel just keeps getting better,” said Union Partner and Managing Director Caryn Maclean. “His creative energy is truly contagious and aligns seamlessly with Union’s spirit — he’s a natural fit and an incredible addition to the team. Chris has always envisioned becoming a New Yorker, so when he made the decision to take that next step, we couldn’t have been more excited to welcome him.”

Walker’s on-set cutting style — shaping story in real time alongside directors and crew — has defined both his growth and his creative collaborations. “I can feel the rhythm of a performance, respond to what’s unfolding, and support the director and crew in the moment,” he said. As for the move to Union: “It’s been a sprint finish to a marathon effort.”

Walker’s accolades include being named one of Televisual Magazine’s Top 10 Editors in London (Spring 2024) — the youngest editor on the list — along with honors for his dark-comedy short film Unprecedented Crimes, winner of Best Comedy Short Film at the London Short Film Festival.
